The BC-ABA Annual Conference brings together colleagues, professionals, consumers, and students of behaviour analysis to learn from local practitioners, foster collaboration, and explore innovative practices. With keynotes and invited speakers, seminars, and networking opportunities, it’s a must-attend event for those passionate about the field and supporting our local community.

Our conference will take place in the Neville Scarfe (Education) Building which is located at 2125 Main Mall, UBC Vancouver Campus. The entrance to the building is found on Main Mall and across from the Biological Sciences Building.

West Parkade (orange arrow) is the closest parkade to the Scarfe Building (red arrow) on the following map:
On Saturday, the rate is $10.00 for the day. Parking meters are located on the 1st and 4th floor of the parkade.
The British Columbia Association for Behaviour Analysis will be offering up to 5 bursaries to assist conference attendees with the costs of traveling to the conference from other areas of the province.
The bursary amount for 2025 is $300 cash
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for this bursary:
- Be a current member of BC-ABA
- Reside in one of the following regions of British Columbia:
- Coastal Region (e.g., Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, Gulf Islands)
- Interior Region (e.g., Thompson, Okanagan, Cariboo, Kootenays)
- Northern Region (e.g., Terrace, Prince George, Haida Gwaii, Peace region)
- Squamish-Lillooet Region (e.g. Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton)
- Residents of Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley will not be considered for this bursary; but may request to be considered if travel is a barrier and the individual is travelling over 75km to UBC Vancouver Campus.
Selection Criteria: Bursary applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to those who have not previously received a BC-ABA travel bursary.
If you are selected, you will receive a cheque at the conference. You must attend to receive the bursary.

The deadline for bursary applications is midnight on February 28th, 2025. Hard copies and late applications will not be accepted.
BC-ABA offers three funding streams for the Student Grants: (1) Early Career Education Grant, (2) Master’s Level Educational Grant, and (3) Master’s or Doctorate Level Research Grant. Grant recipients will be announced at the 17th Annual BC-ABA Conference on March 8th, 2025.
Grants Available
- Early Career Educational Grant: Grant is valued at $350 plus two hours of mentorship with a BCBA or BCBA-D. Applicants must be current members of BC-ABA, and students enrolled in a behaviour analytic diploma or Bachelor’s program. Two Early Career Educational Grants are available in 2025.
- Master’s Level Educational Grant: Grant is valued at $500 plus two hours of mentorship with a BCBA or BCBA-D. Applicants must be current members of BC-ABA and either: (a) enrolled in a behaviour analytic master’s program, or (b) have recently completed a Master’s program and are still pursuing BCBA certification. Two Master’s Level Educational Grants are available in 2025.
- Master’s or Doctorate Level Research Grant: Grant is valued at $500 plus two hours of mentorship with a BCBA or BCBA-D. Applicants must be current members of BC-ABA and: (a) enrolled in a behaviour analytic on-campus, online, or hybrid master’s program, OR (b) enrolled in a behaviour analytic online doctorate program, AND (c) intending to complete research, OR currently completing research, OR have conducted research within their program within the last 12 months. Two Master’s or Doctorate Level Research Grants are available in 2025.
